North of Boyacá department the impressive Sierra Nevada is a set of the most beautiful snowy peaks of the Eastern Andean mountain range. The park area contains several high peaks reaching over 5,000 meters above sea level with impressive rocky walls, glaciers and at least 100 mountain lakes surrounded by extensive areas of páramo (Colombian ecosystem above 3.000m).

The largest glaciers are the massif of Pan de Azucar and Ritacuba Blanco. Laguna Plaza is one of the lakes known for its great size and magnificence. Without any doubt el Cocuy is one of the major mountain landscapes accessible in Colombia. We offer trips of different types and difficulty levels.
