Mavecure Mountains are located in Guainia department, three hours from Puerto Inírida. Those are large areas of rainforest inhabited by indigenous communities and three huge rocks of 250 meters as an impressive lookout over the Guainia jungle.
When visiting the mountains, one can also navigate in the river Inirida, Guaviare, Atabapo and Orinoco, visit San Fernando de Atabapo in Venezuela, camp on the top of one of the hills and visit Remanso indigenous communities. Other activities include: bird watching, photography, fishing, water sports, and night observation of fish
like rays, guaracus, pompano, needlefish, etc.
